At Afrigrocer, we are committed to delivering fresh, high-quality African groceries to your doorstep quickly and safely. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how our delivery process works, including timelines, costs, tracking, and special conditions.

1. Delivery Areas

Afrigrocer currently delivers to locations within the United States.
Coverage varies depending on product type:

  • Fresh items (meats, fish, vegetables, fruits) → Selected states only

  • Non-perishable items → Nationwide delivery

  • Frozen foods → Limited coverage due to temperature-controlled handling

Delivery availability will be confirmed at checkout based on your address.

2. Delivery Timelines

Delivery times vary by location and product category:

  • Fresh & Frozen Items: 1–3 business days

  • Dry & Packaged Goods: 2–5 business days

  • Bulk or Wholesale Orders: 3–7 business days

These timelines may be affected by weather, holidays, or courier delays.

3. Shipping Fees

Shipping costs are calculated based on:

  • Package weight

  • Delivery distance

  • Product type (fresh, frozen, or dry goods)

  • Order value

Shipping fees are shown clearly at checkout before payment.

4. Order Processing

Orders placed:

  • Before 12 PM (EST) → Processed same day

  • After 12 PM (EST) → Processed next business day

  • Weekends & Holidays → Processed next business day

Fresh items are packed with cold protection to maintain quality.

5. Tracking Your Order

Once your order is shipped:

  • You will receive an email or SMS with tracking details

  • You can also track your order directly on Afrigrocer via the Track Your Order page

Tracking updates depend on the courier’s system.

6. Delivery Attempts

Couriers usually make one or two delivery attempts.

If the customer is unavailable or the address is incorrect:

  • Delivery may be rescheduled

  • Additional fees may apply

  • Fresh or frozen products may not be eligible for replacement

Afrigrocer is not responsible for missed deliveries caused by incorrect information.

7. Failed Delivery for Perishables

Because fresh items are time-sensitive, failed delivery due to:

  • Wrong address

  • No one available to receive

  • Delayed pickup

…may result in spoilage.

Such items cannot be refunded or replaced.

8. Local Pickup (If Applicable)

If Afrigrocer offers pickup (current/future option):

  • Pickup times will be displayed at checkout

  • Customers must inspect items at pickup location

This option may only apply to certain product categories.

9. Damaged or Missing Items

If your order arrives damaged or incomplete:

You must report it within 24–48 hours with:

  • Photos or video

  • Order number

  • Description of the issue

Eligible issues may be refunded or replaced.
